The active caseload, which was at its lowest at 1,35,926 on February 12, currently stands at 34,87,229 while the death toll increased to 2,26,188 with 3,780 new fatalities. (Image: Reuters)

The national recovery rate has improved slightly and currently stands at 82.03 percent. On the other hand, the proportion of active cases decreased to  16.87 percent of the total infections.

According to the ICMR, 29,48,52,078 samples have been tested up to May 4 with 15,41,299 samples being tested on Tuesday. (Image & Text: PTI).
